Hamid received his Diploma in Massage Therapy from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2021 and became a registered member of the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. His deep understanding of anatomy and the musculoskeletal system, combined with a diverse range of therapeutic massage techniques, allows him to tailor treatments for medical, wellness, and whole-system massage therapy. With experience in Swedish techniques (Effleurage, Petrissage) and Non-Swedish modalities (Trigger Point Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Hamid’s preferred area of practice includes treating musculoskeletal injuries, overuse conditions, and postural dysfunctions, particularly those affecting the head and neck. In addition, Hamid offers prenatal massage, providing safe and effective care for expectant mothers. His treatments help alleviate common pregnancy-related discomforts, such as lower back pain, hip tension, swelling, and fatigue. By promoting relaxation, improving circulation, and reducing stress, his prenatal massage therapy supports both maternal well-being and fetal development. His passion for healthcare began in high school, where he was drawn to medical books and journals—especially those covering anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. This enthusiasm led him to earn the title of Registered Health Information Management Professional in Canada in 2015, working in health information administration and patient record management. However, Hamid soon realized that his true calling lay elsewhere. In 2019, while volunteering as a physiotherapist, he discovered massage therapy and was inspired to pursue it as a career. He enrolled at VCMT, one of Vancouver’s leading massage therapy institutions, and embarked on a journey that combined his love for science with hands-on healing. For Hamid, massage therapy is more than a profession—it’s a way to bring relief, relaxation, and healing to his clients. He finds fulfillment in helping people from diverse backgrounds improve their well-being, making each day in his practice both meaningful and rewarding. By consent resolution with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia, Hamidreza Salahi, RMT, is not permitted to perform manual lymphatic drainage technique on any patient, for any purpose. Further, when treating patients, Hamidreza Salahi is not permitted to massage any patient, for any purpose, in the area between rib 2 and rib 9.
